At this time, the Oak Hill Food Pantry is serving with the Outreach Center distributing food to anyone in need of assistance. We currently serve up to 40 households each week. Each household can receive one food distribution weekly on Wednesdays only. Pick up time is between 1:00-2:00 pm.
Appointments must be made in advance in order to pick up food on the next Wednesday afternoon.
To make an appointment, call 828-475-2490 before 12:00 pm on Tuesdays for a Wednesday appointment. After that time, you will be registered for the following week. If you need to leave a message, state your name, your home address, and your best phone number so we can contact you and confirm the next available appointment.
The person requesting an appointment should be the person who comes and picks up their food boxes. However, if you need someone else to pick up for you, please tell our secretary the name of the person who has permission to pick up your boxes.
IMPORTANT: Please arrive during the timeframe for your appointment. PLEASE call if you cannot keep your appointment so that food reserved for you will not go to waste.
ENTER at the cemetery driveway entrance at Oak Hill United Methodist Church (2239 NC 181). Follow the red arrow signs directing you to the Multi-Purpose Activity Center (“MPAC”) parking lot. Pull up to the front doors. PLEASE REMAIN INSIDE your vehicle and “pop” open your trunk or have rear doors already unlocked. Volunteers will greet you, verify your information, and place your box in your trunk or rear space.
May God bless you and yours with health and nourishment. We look forward to sharing in this ministry with you.

The following food distribution program is on hold at this time due to the above program:
Our Food Pantry is made possible by donations from members and friends of Oak Hill United Methodist. Feel free to donate any non-perishable food items. Go into the door (behind the flagpole) on the right side of the church, then turn right in the hallway, You will see a cart marked Food Pantry Donations. Place your items there. If you are donating a lot of food at one time, please contact our secretary or pastor for assistance.
If your family is in need of food, please call our church secretary on Tuesday or Thursday, 8am - 1pm. She will ask for your name and how many people are in your family. She will tell you when to come by and pick up your food. Families are allowed to come one time per month to get food.
