ADULT SUNDAY SCHOOL | Connecting with others in Fellowship and Study
We invite you to experience the adult classes at Oak Hill. We are a group of friendly, supportive, and compassionate people. We gather on Sunday to learn more of God's Word and what it means to our lives. We gather to love and care for one another. We gather to talk about the Kingdom of God come on earth. Sunday school begins at 9:45 am. Here is a list of our adult classes.
Jude 21 / Post High School
Jude 21 is a Sunday study and conversation for young adults. The focus is to relate our lives to Christ's teaching and find pathways to strengthen faith, while cultivating discipleship and encouragement. Quarterly the group will gather outside the Sunday morning time and reconnect with the community. There will also be special meeting when a larger group is in town for holidays. Jude 21 is open to any curious young adult post high school. Suzy Fitzgerald is the teacher for this class.
The Bible Discussion ("TBD") Class
This is a class for those who are "empty nesters" to "recently retired". It meets in the Bible Study room at the back of the MPAC building. There is a rotation of three teachers who lead discussion; Ben Nantz, David Butler and Scott Lookadoo.
They mostly study books of the Bible.
The Wade Aldridge Class (formerly known as The Mabel Harbison Class)
The Wade Aldridge Class is the largest class at Oak Hill. Teaching is shared among many people and they use a quarterly, biblical Sunday School literature. The members actively participate in discussion of the lesson.
From time to time they go on a trip together.
Taylor Winters Class
The Taylor Winters Class is made up of loving adults, mostly seniors but including middle-aged couples.
This class supports many causes in the church and community.
Many of them have been members of Oak Hill Methodist for years.
They meet in the church parlor located to the right of the Sanctuary at the end of the hall.
